The City of The Dalles will host a public workshop on Thursday, July 19, 2018, at 6:00 p.m., in the Fireside Room of the Civic Auditorium, 323 E. 4th Street.  The workshop is an opportunity to share information and collect feedback from residents on proposed changes to the The Dalles Municipal Code, Title 10 Land Use and Development.

The proposed changes are the result of a housing needs study completed by the City in 2017. The purpose of the changes is to bring the City’s development regulations into compliance with state law and to encourage the development of a range of needed types of housing. The changes seek to remove unnecessary barriers to the development of accessory dwelling units, townhomes, duplexes, and triplexes, while maintaining important standards that regulate the form and character of new development.

We encourage residents to attend the workshop for more information and to provide feedback on the proposed changes.

Agenda July 19 Public Meeting - will not be live streamed.
