City of The Dalles City Council appoints new City Manager

Mayor Stephen E. Lawrence announced this afternoon, that after four months of a formal search City Council has selected Interim City Manager Julie Krueger as the new City Manager for the City of The Dalles.  He said “Ms. Krueger has proven herself capable of the position during the last four and a half months as Interim City Manager, and we are excited to begin this next chapter for our community.”

Lawrence said Council has directed City Attorney Gene Parker to negotiate a contract with Ms. Krueger.  He expects to have the contract before Council by the February 22 meeting.
