If you want to become more involved with your local City government then this is the course for you!

The City of The Dalles Local Government Academy is a 4-month City government development program designed to improve transparency, understanding, and involvement between local government and community citizens. • The difference between an Ordinance vs. a Resolution
  • Why government keeps so much paper (or now electronic files)

  • Where money comes from and where it goes
  • The challenges our local Police officers face
  • What is a, “Library of Things”
  • The Columbia Gorge Regional Airport
  • And more!

Applicants from all segments of the community are encouraged to apply.
